How to run PDF file on a Windows Media player

Step-1:

Download and install Adobe reader from the link below:

Step-2:

Find the path of Adobe reader executable from the installation directory on Windows media player:



Step-3: 

Open Adobe Reader on the media player and click on Edit Menu.
Click on preferences and click on Full Screen from the left panel.
Deselect "Alert when document request full screen" 

Imp: If this step is missed the media player will prompt with a pop-up message everytime a new PDF is published. 




Step-4:

Open your PDF file via Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Click on File Menu and click on Properties.
Click on Initial View Tab and select "Open In Full-Screen Mode"
Save your file. 




Step-5:

Upload your PDF file to resources. 






Step-6: 

Drag and drop the External App component on your Timeline Channel. 




Step-7:

Double click the ExtApp/Capture component to load its properties.
App name: Enter the path to Adobe reader executable on the media player.
Command: Drag and drop your PDF file here. 



Step-8:

Publish the campaign to your windows media player.
