How to Setup Power Point as External Component on Windows Media player

Download and Install free Power Point viewer on Windows media player:

Get Installation Path:

Save this path for later. It will be used for External App Component.

Check Power Point file type. It should be PPT not PPTX. If it is PPTX please save as PowerPoint 97-2003 Presentation

Set Up Slide Show Settings:

Next we're going to configure the PowerPoint Presentation so the slides will automatically switch from one slide to the next and will automatically loop. These setting will be reflected on your final signage presentation

Next, select all the slides enable Fade transition and check the "automatically after" option from the Transitions menu. Choose timing in seconds, which will represent the period between slides.
Next, Save changes to power point file.

Next, Upload Power point file to resources in Studio Pro

Next , Create a new campaign and drag and drop the External App Component on Channel

Next, Drag and drop your Power point file in the command line field of the ExtApp / Capture Component . Enter /A/S with space behind File[11]

The "/A" argument is telling the PowerPoint viewer to automatically slide from one slide to another.

The "/S" argument will tell to skip the splash screen when first loads.

Note: To play the slides at native size you must use ExtApp Component in Full Screen. If you want a different size to match a certain Screen Division, you'll need to resize slides to match the screen division size from PowerPoint application.

Next, Enter path for Power point viewer installed on media player in "APP name" text box:

Next, Publish the campaign to Media Player.
