CAT-5 VGA Extender Troubleshooting Steps


Cat-5 VGA Extender is used in the situation where the screen supports VGA only and is deployed very far from the Media players. The cost for a 30 ft VGA cable is too high as compared to 30 ft Cat-5 cable
  • Media Player must be connected to the Cat-5 VGA Extender with a working VGA cable (Check VGA cable is not faulty).
  • Media Player and Cat 5 VGA Extender device must be powered (Check power on both Devices).
  • A Cat-5 Cable is connected to Cat 5 VGA Extenders and the other end goes to another device Cat-5 VGA Receiver (Check if the Cat 5 cable is not faulty and the Cat-5 Receiver device is not powered off).
  • A VGA Cable will be plugged into Cat-5 Receiver Device with the other end plugged into the Screen (Check if that VGA cable is not faulty).
