Publish Signage Presentation to a Media Player that is not connected to Internet

The Offline updater allows you to physically take your Signage Presentation from the StudioPro and update the SignagePlayer Desktop version that doesn't have an internet connection on location. The offline update can only update images and video files. If you are using any live components like google calendar, YouTube, Weather & HTML that need internet connectivity, they will not work since the media player doesn't have internet connection

Step-1: 

The media player must be registered once with the software account over the internet.

Step-2:

Log into studio pro account and make changes to your campaign or create a new campaign

Step-3:

Publish new campaign to the station that is offline showing as red. 



Step-4:

Connect a USB Flash drive to your laptop and Click on export signage player data button



Step-5:

Select target folder by browsing to your flash drive in our case we are using USBExport Folder.




Step-6:

Click on Start button to start exporting campaign data to Folder:



Step-7:

If the export is successful it will show completed against all 6 operations and a pop-up message will appear confirming data is ready to be imported to media players. 



Step-8:

Connect USB Flash drive to your media player and stop signage player (Click on the top left corner and Show Panel button will appear - > Stop)
Next, Click on Import button 



Step-9:

Browse to the USB folder where you have imported new changes in Step-7



Step-10:

Select the player.data file and click on Start button to publish changes to your offline media player. 





NOTE: There are certain components that do not allow stopping signage player in offline mode, in that case, please follow the below steps instead of ( Step-8, 9 & 10)


Step-11:

Connect  USB flash drive to your media player and browse to the USBExport Folder - > Player.data Folder - > Local Folder. 
Copy the Folders inside the Local folder. 

Step-12:

Click the Windows button on your Keyboard type Run hit enter to launch the Run Window.
Next type %APPDATA% in the Run window and click ok. 




Step-13:

%APPDATA% will open up a new Window. Look for the SignagePlayer folder with a lot of Alpha Numeric characters in front of it. 


Step-14:

Browse to the Local Store Folder within the SignagePlayer Folder and paste the folders you copied from your flash Drive in Step-8 to over write all existing files. 



Step-15:

Restart Signage Player or Reboot the Media player and your signage presentation will be updated with the new campaign
