How to setup Live TV on Windows OS with Avermedia USB TV Dongle (AVerTV Volar Hybrid Q H837)

Hardware Instructions:

Note: We only certify Avermedia AVerTV Volar Hybrid Q H837 for Live TV setup and do not guarantee any other USB TV dongle would work with this method. 

1- Plug AVerTV Volar Hybrid Q H837 into USB port 2.0 on Windows based media box.

2- Connect composite AV cable adapter with satellite receiver.

Software Instructions:

Download and install Mediacenter application with drivers on remote Windows based media box.

Steps:

a- Visit Avermedia website https://www.avermedia.com/tv_more/download/

b- Click on PC-TV Video connectivity under select your product series, for product category, click on TV and select AVerTV Volar Hybrid Q H837 

c- Click the first download link under Application & Driver to download and install  mediaCENTER app with drivers on Windows based media BOX player.

Studio Administrator Configuration steps:

1- Create a new campaign, add three times lines and name the Timelines (Timeline-1, Timeline-2, Timeline-3)

2- click on sequences under timelines and set timeline sequence i-e Index 0 Timeline-1, Index 1 Timeline-2, Index 2 Timeline-3

3- click on campaign to set time duration on timelines, start with timeline-1, set duration 20 sec , timeline-2 duration 30 sec, and timeline-3 duration 23:59:10

4- Drag and drop ExtApp/Capture component to Timeline-1  and Timeline-3 and leave the Timeline-2 empty.

5- Configure ExtApp/capture component  on Timline-1 and Timeline-3

Steps:

a- Double click ExtApp/Capture to enable, under ExtApp click the dropdown and select Avermedia Center HD (Windows)

b- Enter directory path for Mediacenter application from Windows based media box e.g:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\AVerMedia\AVer MediaCenter 3D\AVer MediaCenter.exe

c- Select Live TV Campaign under stations.

d- Click File > Save/upload and update station.
