How to Enable Auto-Logon on Windows 10?

Automatic Process: 

  • Click the Start button and type "Run"
  • Type "netplwiz"
  • On the Users tab, which should be where you are now, uncheck the box next to "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
  • Click Apply and OK.
  • Restart your computer and make sure that Windows automatically logs you in.





Manual Process: 
If your computer is a member of a domain below process is recommended.

  • Open Registry Editor which is most easily done by going to search box after you tap or click the Start button by going to "Run" and type "regedit" 
  • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -- Microsoft -- Windows NT -- CurrentVersion -- Winlogon. 
  • Locate the registry AutoAdminLogon on the right. Double-click on AutoAdminLogon and change the Value data to 1 from 0.
  • Locate and add if not present DefaultUserName. Double-click DefaultUserName and enter your default username. 
  • Locate and add if not present DefaultPassword. Double-click DefaultPassword and enter your default user password. 
  • Restart your computer and then follow the standard Windows auto-login procedure outlined above.
