Guide: Daisy Chain 2x2 Display (Phillips & Viewsonic)
There are 2 methods to setup Daisy chain:
Method-1: (Recommended)
Hardware Requirements:
- Media player with standard Display port 1.2 supported graphic card that supports 4 screen in 4k resolution ( PNY Quadro K620 or AMD RADEON HD 7750 with Standard Display port 1.2)
- Commercial Video wall display that support daisy chain (DP-In and DP-Out ports) and Tiling. ( View Sonic CDX 5552)
- Four Standard Display port 1.2 Cables.
Software Requirements:
- Windows 7/8 or 10 Professional Edition.
- Eyefinity Catalyst software.
Physical Connectivity:
- Media player connect to Screen-1 via DP-IN port.
- A DP 1.2 cable goes from Screen-1 DP-Out-Port to Screen-2 DP-In Port.
- A DP 1.2 cable goes from Screen-2 DP-Out-Port to Screen-3 DP-In Port.
- A DP 1.2 cable goes from Screen-3 DP-Out-Port to Screen-4 DP-In Port.
Daisy Chain Configurations:
- Go to AMD eyefinity multi Display & Create eyefnity display group
- Select 2x2 from Drop down.
- The image might appear broken into different screen so we need to arrange the group of screen.
- Go to Arrange Eyefinity Display group & click Arrange button
- It will light up all 4 screens one by one and you can click on them to arrange the image.
Method-2: ( Might or might not work depending on screen capability to Daisy chain)
Hardware Requirements:
- Media player with standard Display port 1.2 supported intel graphic card that supports 3 screen in 4k resolution ( Intel HD Graphics 520)
- Commercial Video wall display that support daisy chain (DP-In and DP-Out ports) and Tiling. ( View Sonic CDX 5552)
- Four Standard Display port 1.2 Cables.
- Windows 7/8 or 10 Professional Edition.
Physical Connectivity:
- Media player connect to Screen 1 via DP-IN port
- A DP 1.2 cable goes from Screen-1 DP-Out-Port to Screen-2 DP-In Port.
- A DP 1.2 cable goes from Screen-2 DP-Out-Port to Screen-3 DP-In Port.
- A DP 1.2 cable goes from Screen-3 DP-Out-Port to Screen-4 DP-In Port.
Daisy Chain Configurations:
- Turn on Tiling from within display settings for screen-1
- Turn on Tiling from within display settings for screen-1
- Set H monitors = 2 displays
- Set V monitors = 2 displays
- Set Position for screen-1 using remote to "1"
- Follow step-1 to Step-5 for remaining 3 screens
